What does the BSF part number mean (Sample: PD1-A232-A2-R01)?

BSF Part Numbers are produced internally using a combination of codes and chronological numbers.

For the most part, standard BSF Part Numbers begin with either a "P" or an "A". The "A" Part Numbers specify an Assembly that will include two or more individual parts. The "P" Part Number is specifying a single, individual unit.

The next part of the code is the BSF Design Option. The most common Designs are D1 (Horizontal Mount), D2 (Style A Vertical Mount), and D3 (Style D Vertical Mount) but there are countless styles to choose from. See BSF's webpage (www.bsfinc.net) or call our office at (937) 890-6121 for more detail.

The next four digits are chronological numbers that are assigned internally.

The next two digits are a code that specifies the access hole shape, size and location.

The last three digits are a code that specifies all other configurations such as paint color, drain holes or other processes.
